Era pilot clasa I, avea la activ peste 400 de ore de zbor, din care aproximativ 250 pe MiG-21. Era absolvent al Academiei For\u021belor Aeriene \u201eHenri Coand\u0103\u201d din anul 2005.\r\nOfi\u021berul era c\u0103s\u0103torit \u0219i avea doi copii.\r\nDin ordinul ministrului ap\u0103r\u0103rii na\u0163ionale a fost numit\u0103 o comisie de investiga\u0163ie tehnic\u0103 pentru cercetarea \u00eemprejur\u0103rilor producerii acestei catastrofe aviatice.
