As it happens every year on 24th of January, military personnel of the Air Force Staff and units participates in the festivities held to celebrate the Union Day. The 150th Anniversary of the day, when one of the most glorious dreams of the Romanians realized, is an ideal moment to join hands and show once again our joy and pride for our ancestors’ deeds. Together with local political, administrative and religious authorities military personnel of the Air Forces take part in the events organized on the occasion as follows:

• Bucharest, 10.30 – wreath laying at Alexandru Ioan Cuza Memorial on the Romanian Patriarchy Hill. Air Force Staff delegation is led by Major General Ion Ştefan, Deputy Air Force Chief of Staff, and includes military personnel from the 90th Airlift Base;

• Timisoara, 10.00 – wreath laying at the memorial erected to honor the first ruler of the United Principalities, and a commemorative service at Alexandru Ioan Cuza House;

• Fetesti, Ialomita County – wreath laying at Hero Memorial;

• Iassi, 11.00 – participation in the events organized by Garrison Command;

• Sfintu Gheorghe, Covasna County – military ceremony at “Mihai Viteazul” Memorial.
