IAK-52
IAK-52 production started in early 1976 based on a design provided by OKB Iakovlev Institute. Its initial earmarking was exclusively for training courses in military schools.
L-29 Delfin
L-29, one of the first advanced training aircraft used by Warsaw Pact nations, was designed in Czechoslovakia by Aero Consortium and had the maiden flight in 1957.
L-39 Albatros
Designed in order to replace L-29, L-39 had the maiden flight in 1968 and entered the Romanian Air Force service in 1982 as advanced trainer and light attack aircraft.
IAR-99 Soim
The development of this advanced trainer started in the 70s at Craiova and the first prototype flew in 1985, being meant to be similar to the British Hawk.
