P-37 Radar

The P-37 radar is designed forlong-range air surveillance. It was produced in the former USSR by employing electronic tubes technology. It performs detection and tracking of air targets and provides bi-dimensional data (azymuth and slant range).
Data transmission to users for the purpose of ground control intercept and air defense system cueing is provided by voice. P-37 radar entered the Air Force inventory in 1975.


Technical data

- active impulse radar;
- S-band;
- 5 channels for emitting/reception;
- maximum pulse power: 900KW;
- maximum range: 180km;
- clutter and asyncronuous jamming protection;
- protection against anti-radiation missiles.
