P-18 Radar
P-18 Radar
The P-18 Radar is designed for airspace surveillance at medium and
low altitudes. It was produced in the former USSR using hybrid
technology. It performs detection and tracking of air targets
and provides bi-mensional data to users (azymuth and slant range
using voice systems). The radar is used for ground control intercept
and target cueing for surface-to-air missiles.
The P-18 radar entered the Air Force inventory in 1977.
