Antonov An-2 transport airplane, known as the world's largest biplane, was
designed for serving various purposes. The prototype flew on August
31st, 1947. It was built in Kiev by the mid-60s. Later on it was
transferred to Poland, where more than 12000 aircraft were produced.
It is estimated that over 15500 aircraft have been built in USSR,
Poland and China. Out of these, about 6000 are under civilian operation.
