Brigadier General Haralambie Oprea was born on 12th October 1957 in Albesti, Arges County. He graduated from Artillery and SAM Missile Officer School in 1979. Few years later he attended courses of the Academy of High Military Studies which he graduated in 1987.
General Oprea started his military career joining the 1st SAM Brigade, as a young Lieutenant, and went on climbing the military hierarchy in service with the same military formation until 2009. That year he was appointed Deputy-Chief Training and Doctrine Directorate of the General Staff.
Since 15 April 2010 General has been assigned Chief of Resources, Air Force Staff.
General Oprea is married and two daughters.
