Brigadier General Alexandru-Petru Găluşcă, PhD, was born in Brad, Hunedoara County on 16th January 1958. After graduating the Military High School “Ştefan cel Mare” in Câmpulung Moldovenesc, he attended the Air Force Officer School “Aurel Vlaicu” in Boboc, Buzău County. He was appointed pilot, chief pilot and patrol leader in Air Force units.
• Graduated the University of National Defense in 1986.
• He also acted, among others, as squadron leader and helicopter unit commander; expert in Military Intelligence Directorate; Romania’s Air and Navy Defense Attaché at Beijing, Popular Republic of China; Deputy-Commander and then Commander of Military National Command Center, General Staff.
• Since March 2009 Colonel (Av.) Găluşcă has been assigned the current position.
• Brigadier General Alexandru-Petru Găluşcă is married and has two children.
