Colonel (AF) Grigorie Nicolae was assigned Commander, Air Force Officer Training School “Aurel Vlaicu” on 1^st September 2010. He was born on 23^rd January 1964 in Vanatori, Mehedinti County. Colonel Grigorie started his military career in his early youth by joining Military High School “Tudor Vladimirescu” from which he graduated in 1982. He chose to develop a pilot career in the Air Force and thus attended Air Force Officer School “Aurel Vlaicu” (today Air Force Academy “Henri Coanda”).
Colonel (AF) Grigorie has flown aircraft such as IAR-823, ZLIN 52, L-29, L-39, MiG-21 and MiG-21 LanceR, and also helicopters IAR-330L and IAR-330 SOCAT accumulating over 650 hours.

Colonel (AF) Grigorie is married and has two daughters.

Since 01.09.2010 he was assigned current position.
