Colonel Leonard Glod was born on 11^th April 1965 in Bucharest. He attended the courses of Military High School “Dimitrie Cantemir” and then Military Academy, engineer, road and railway construction which he graduated in 1986.
He filled positions as Platoon leader, Company commander and Battalion chief of staff within the 70^th Engineer Regiment.
From 1993 to 1995 he attended courses of University of Defense, Engineer Section. After graduation Colonel Glod was appointed Battalion Commander at 70^th Engineer Regiment, then chief of combat training and, starting from 2001, Deputy Commander.
He is married and has a son and a daughter.

EDUCATION:
1979-1983 - Military High School “Dimitrie Cantemir” in Breaza;
1983-1986 - Military Academy, Engineer Branch, Road and Railway Construction, Sibiu;
1991 - Course for Engineer Company Leaders;
1993-1995 - University of Defense, Joint Force Section, Engineer Branch;
2001 - Postgraduate Course for Air Force Operational Formation leaders;
December 2005 – he was awarded doctorate in military sciences.
