Colonel Professor Doctor Gabriel - Florin Moisescu was assigned Commander of Air Force Academy "Henri Coanda" on 15th November 2005. He was born on 30th November 1959 in Balaci.
Colonel Moisescu joined the military in 1981 after he graduated, the first of non-flying officer batch, Air Force Academy "Aurel Vlaicu".
He graduated the University of Defense in 1989 and since 2002 he has been awarded Doctor in Military Sciences.

Colonel Moisescu is married and has a child.
